Enjoy Life Again With Professional Alcohol Counseling
Alcohol is no easy topic, affecting hundreds of thousands of people. However, you are not alone: excessive alcohol consumption happens to around 1 in 8 people in the United States. With alcohol counseling, you can find others who share the same journey, talk to a real professional that can help you change your habits, and rebuild relationships that have been strained.
At DiRomaTherapy, we offer three types of alcohol counseling to ensure that you are getting the most beneficial counseling suited for you. Our individual counseling is a comfortable and private space to discuss one’s life in detail to utilize rational emotive behavioral therapy. With rational emotive behavioral therapy, you will learn how to manage your thoughts and emotions; so you don’t ever have to turn to alcohol to be happy. We’ll also do motivational interviewing and long-term dynamic therapy to motivate you to stay on the right track and maintain a full-filled life of recovery.
If you are not ready for individual therapy and would rather be in a group setting: our speaking engagements would be a great option. In these discussions, our speaker will address many topics, some of which include: addiction and mental health, psycho-educating adults on addiction, setting boundaries, and finding treatment. These speaking engagements are a great introduction to understanding how alcohol affects us, not only mentally and physically, but how it can destroy our relationships; job opportunities and dictate our lives. You’ll also be able to meet others on the same journey: so you won’t feel as alone.
If you are a loved one or a friend who is coping with someone addicted to alcohol, we offer exceptional interventions to steer them in the right course of action. We provide two types of interventions to ensure that they will be most beneficial for them. The Johnson intervention allows for family members and friends to confront them about how their alcohol abuse has been negatively affecting them while also stating what will happen if the treatment provided is not accepted. Our other option is systemic intervention; this route will allow the intervention to be more of a conversation between the family and the one suffering from alcohol abuse. Everyone will be able to state their opinions, discuss their struggles, and what treatment will be best. In fact, with the help of our exceptional staff, we can help choose the correct form of intervention to ensure that your friend or loved one will be guided to seek treatment and start their path to recovery.
You don’t have to suffer at the hands of alcohol anymore. You can take your life back with the help of alcohol counseling. You’ll be able to enjoy the little things, create deep relationships, and strengthen yourself mentally and physically.
